Community Centre

While the reach of the Zen Olympiad transcends time and space, the project is nevertheless based in Redelinghuys, a small rural hamlet in the Western Cape of South Africa. Like a true old fashioned village, Redelinghuys has much warmth and spirit (kindled and maintained in a large part by the presence of unspoilt nature) – but limited options for sustaining livelihoods in the market economy.
In 2025 a group of local ”influencers” with unique experiences in community upliftment, came together in a café to found Redelinghuys Inclusive (Inklusief in Afrikaans), a non-profit organisation aiming specifically to empower and uplift local projects within a paradigm of unconditional inclusivity. Inclusive’s role is to identify promising projects and assist them in becoming successful, helping to integrate people’s lives in the process. With this context in mind, The Zen Olympiad pledges five percent of every individual sale via the website, to Redelinghuys Inclusive NPO!
